Service

Pop In features may change, break, disappear, or behave differently while we test and improve the service.

Pop In is provided as-is. We will try to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to use this service where you live. Do not use Pop In if you are prohibited from doing so by law or if sharing location information through the service would violate another person's rights, a contract, a workplace rule, or any other legal duty.

Account Responsibilities

• Provide accurate account and profile information.
• Keep your sign-in access secure.
• Use your own account and do not impersonate another person.
• Delete your account from Profile if you no longer want to use Pop In.

Friend And Location Features

Pop In is designed to help users coordinate with people they choose to add as friends. You are responsible for deciding whom you add as a friend, whom you trust, and which friends or circles can see a Pop In opening.

Only open a Pop In from a location you are allowed to share. When you open Pop In, eligible friends may see the selected host location for the active window.

Do not pressure, manipulate, threaten, or deceive another person into sharing a location, accepting a meetup, or keeping a Pop In open longer than they want.

Pop In does not independently verify the identity of users and cannot guarantee that any user is who they claim to be.

Acceptable Use

• Do not upload content unless you own it or have all rights and permissions needed to use it.
• Do not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
• Do not impersonate another person, use deceptive identities, or pretend to be someone you are not.
• Do not upload non-consensual intimate imagery, sexually explicit content, child sexual abuse material, or sexual or exploitative content involving minors.
• Do not harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, hate, spam, defraud, scam, harm, or unlawfully target other users.
• Do not add, store, or share an address unless you have the right to share it and understand who may receive it during an active Pop In.
• Do not use Pop In to monitor another person, infer where they live, pressure them to meet, or show up where you are not welcome.
• Do not use Pop In for emergencies, surveillance, fraud, scams, unauthorized commercial activity, or unlawful conduct.
• Do not try to access accounts, data, systems, or admin tools that you are not authorized to access.

Reports, Blocks, And Enforcement

Users can remove friends, block users, and report concerns from the app. Reports are reviewed manually.

We may remove content, restrict features, block relationships, suspend accounts, delete accounts, refer urgent matters to service providers or authorities where appropriate, or take other action when needed to protect users, operate the service, or comply with law.

Your Content

You keep ownership of the profile information, photos, messages, and other content you provide. By uploading or providing content, you represent that you have all rights necessary to provide that content and grant Pop In a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, transmit, and make the content available solely as necessary to operate, secure, moderate, support, and improve the service.

Content Moderation

Pop In may review, remove, disable access to, preserve, or report content when we believe it violates these Terms, creates risk to users, is reported by another user, or may be required by law.

Pop In has no obligation to monitor all content and does not guarantee that objectionable content will be identified or removed immediately.

If we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material or exploitation involving minors, we may remove access to the content, preserve relevant records, report the matter to appropriate authorities, and suspend or terminate associated accounts.

No Emergency Or Safety Reliance

Pop In is not an emergency service, home-security product, location-tracking product, or guarantee that someone will visit or respond. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

Pop In does not perform background checks, identity verification, or safety screening of users and does not guarantee the identity, conduct, intentions, or trustworthiness of any user.

Use caution when sharing locations, meeting other users in person, or relying on information provided by other users.

Copyright Reports

You may report alleged copyright infringement through the support contact process. Include the content involved, why you believe it infringes your rights, and how we can contact you.

Disclaimer Of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pop In disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and availability.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pop In will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for damages arising from user content, user conduct, meetups, location sharing, interactions between users, or a user's decision to rely on another user's identity, statements, location, or availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, any aggregate liability of Pop In arising out of or relating to the service will be limited to the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pop In and its operator from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, conduct, misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person's rights.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
